A Winter's Luncheon inside The Wool Store, Bathurst

With snow threatening to fall and below zero temperatures, it seemed highly appropriate that our Long Lunch Club was held at The Wool Store, Bathurst.
This high end heritage building originally built in 1875 has been expertly restored by the owners of Wilga Station Properties, Hamish and Mez Keith, who kindly lent us the Penthouse for the day to luncheon. With its beautifully finished interiors, very quiet yet centrally located position, this superb accommodation sleeps up to 8 and is perfect for a girls weekend away to the Central West.
Our long luncheon brought eight women together around the table, many who work in primary industries; including the production of sheep, cattle, grains, lavender and truffles.

The Interior Collective styled the table to perfection using our newest coloured linens including a Sage Green Tablecloth and Portobello Stripe Napkins paired with some of their timeless homewares available through their new shop in Lucknow and also online.

We're excited to announce that they are also our newest stockist of Long Lunch Linen, just in time for the festive season to begin.  Lastly, but by no means least, the seasonally foraged foliage and florals from local gardens was expertly arranged by Miranda from @floralsbymiranda, who is also available now for weddings in the Central West.
Emily White from @thehungryswan curated the menu and everyone brought along a winter warmer dish to share, many of them being authentically paddock to plate.
We sipped on local wines from Printhie Wines including their award winning Swift Sparkling, some Mayfield Vineyard Rosé and also See Saw Syrah and finished the afternoon off with a hot cuppa and a slice of the most delicious Lemon and Blueberry cake around the crackling fire.
The weather outside may have been bleak, but inside the stunning surrounds of the Wool Store the atmosphere was toasty warm with many women meeting for the first time that day, connecting, forging new professional relationships and  swapping details for further collaboration.
And, for those of you who are interested in cooking, here are the recipes from this  Long Lunch Club menu, put together by Emily @thehungryswan.
Thank you again to everyone who cooked, styled, hosted and sat with us around this table.
